What does it mean when a pet is 'on hold'

If a pet is marked as 'on hold', this usually means that:

  • The rescue organisation has received a number of enquiries for the pet and is currently reviewing applications
  • The pet is on trial with a new adopter
  • The pet is undergoing medical treatment or further behavioural assessment

You may be able to see the reason on the pet's profile, under the 'On Hold' banner, if the rescue organisation has selected one.

If the pet you have enquired about has currently been placed on hold, please wait for the organisation to give you an update or continue your search for a pet at www.petrescue.com.au.
