Why is the pet I enquired for unavailable?

A pet listing may no longer be available to enquire into when their status has changed. The updated status and a few reasons why you might not be able to enquire include:

  • The pet has been marked as ‘on hold’ and the group are assessing applications, the pet may be seeking medical attention or the pet may be on trial with an adopter.
  • The pet has been adopted and has found their new home.
  • The pet’s profile has been removed due to other reasons (eg. the previous owner took them back or they have been transferred to another group or facility which is common for councils or larger rescue organisations) 

These changes will be reflected on the pet’s profile photo with a relevant status (i.e on-hold, adopted, removed). You can view this by clicking on the pet’s profile from your conversations.
