Uploading photos and videos to a pet listing

Never underestimate the power of great photos and videos! For rescue pets, their profile photo is their ticket to the hearts and homes of potential adopters, so it’s worth investing the time and effort to capture winning content.

When you have the perfect pictures and videos ready to upload, simply follow the below guides to add them to your pet's listing.

Adding new photos and videos

When you’re ready to add new photos, simply go to the pet's listing, then under Your Tools click the black ‘Edit’ button.

From there, click ‘Edit Photos’ or ‘Edit Videos’ within their respective sections. In both cases, you will have the ability to upload new content as well as remove old ones. You can add up to nine photos and four videos, so be sure to include the best of the best for your pet!

Note: size limits for photos uploaded to profiles are 20MB and 150MB for video.

To upload new photos or videos, click on the green ‘Upload photos’ button, as shown below.

A small pop-up window will then appear for you to either drag and drop, upload, or locate your photos/videos from external platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram, and Dropbox).

When you have selected your chosen photo or video, you can click ‘Done’ or ‘Upload more’. Finally, once you have finished uploading all your chosen photos or videos, click ‘Save changes and view profile’.

Selecting your pet’s featured photo

The featured photo is the main photo that appears in the search results, in potential adopters favourites list and also appears as the largest photo on the pet's listing - so this is where you want the best photo to live!

To adjust this photo, go to the pet's listing, then under Your Tools click the black ‘Edit’ button.

Once on the ‘Edit photos’ page, drag and drop the photos in the order you would like them to appear on the pet’s listing. The first image situated on the far top lef will be your pets main ‘featured photo’ displayed in the search results.

These adjustments will be saved immediately, so you won’t need to manually scroll down to the Update Listing button at the bottom of the page!

And be sure to remember - great photos and videos are the most powerful tool to help your pet find their loving new home sooner.
