Minimum data requirements for integrations setup between PetRescue

By connecting your existing animal management software directly to the PetRescue platform, your listings take care of themselves. It's one of the simplest ways to expand your organisation’s reach without adding to your team's workload.

The integrations we support include- Animal Shelter Manager (ASM), ShelterBuddy (ShelterMate) and AnimalOS.

It is important to note that the following information must be included on your software for a pet listing to appear on PetRescue:

• The pets' Name must be completed (+ be longer than 2 characters and shorter than 50 characters)
• The pets' Adoption Summary must be completed (+ be longer than 20 characters and shorter than 8,000 characters)
• The organisations contact details must be included/shared
• The pets' Species (e.g. Dog, Cat, Guinea Pig etc.) must be defined
  • For cats, intake origin can be included unless bred in care or imported from ShelterMate
• The pets' Primary Breed (e.g. Burmese) must be selected
• The pets’ Date of Birth must be entered
• The pets' Size must be selected
• The pets’ Coat type must be selected (if a cat or guinea pig)
• The pets' Sex must be selected
• The pets’ Location must be entered
• The adoption fee must be entered
• The pets’ Microchip number must be entered
• Relevant State Supply Numbers (click here to check which requirements apply to your listings):
  • VIC Source Number
  • QLD BIN/BEN
  • NSW RON/BIN
  • SA DACO Organisation Number
  • PIC (All States)
• If the pet is a dog or cat, it must be flagged as Desexed (note - if desexed is set to Unknown, the listing will not be imported)
