Direct Donations through Shout donation button

Did you know that PetRescue is Australia’s most-visited charity website? Not all those who visit PetRescue.com.au are immediately ready to adopt. Some people are ‘just looking’ or want to do more to help rescue pets in need.

So there’s so much potential for your unique donation button to become an additional source of revenue for your ACNC-registered rehoming organisation at no cost to your group and make the most of the 40,000+ daily visitors of the platform!

Important information before signing up:

  1. Your rehoming organisation must be registered with the ACNC to be eligible.
  2. Please submit one application per group. Discuss within your team, and decide who will submit your group’s application.
  3. Check the required documentation here, and only start your application once you can provide all the necessary info. Please note that incomplete applications will hold up the approval process for all rescue members. Hint: start your application once you can provide all the necessary information.   4. Ensure you state that you are a PetRescue Member in your application (in the ‘charity description’ section).
  5. As part of the approval process, the Shout for Good team may contact you to request additional information, such as full name, DOB and citizenship of key decision-makers, as part of their due diligence process. All information is kept strictly confidential.
  6. Please be patient, and allow up to two weeks for your application to be processed.

Then what happens?

Once your account is processed and approved by the good folks at Shout for Good, you will be provided with a ‘token’ (a code unique to your organisation).

To get your donation button live on the PetRescue site, log in to your Admin account. Go to My Group Profile, click the 'Edit' button, then scroll down to Group Settings and click the '+' button.

From here, add your token (a series of numbers and letters in the URL after the '='), then click 'Update Group' at the bottom of the page to save. 

Now let the good times and the donations roll! Your donation button will sit on your main PetRescue profile and each pet listing profile your organisation uploads.

PetRescue and Shout for Good do not receive any commission, and there are no set-up or annual subscription fees. Sign up for your very own donation button here!
