How to find volunteers for your group
We know that running a rescue group takes up a lot of time and often you simply can’t do it on your own. With jobs, families and day-to-day life, many extra hands are needed to ensure that you aren’t taking on more than you can handle and still have a few minutes left in your day to relax and enjoy some ‘me’ time.
There are many kind hearted animal lovers out there who would love to assist with such a great cause, but just don’t know where to begin. This is where reaching out to a wider community can be a great benefit to your group. Here are a few ways you can recruit some new volunteers:
- Facebook callouts
- Volunteer section and forms on your website
- Asking current volunteers to recruit friends/family
- Posters on notice boards
- Volunteer forms at open days/adoption days
- Contact PetRescue to ask for assistance
