Adding a secondary contact to your group's profile

Adding a secondary contact is a reliable way to ensure your account’s security. Having a secondary contact allows you to retain access in case the group administrator has been locked out or moved on. 
This field is also important as it allows PetRescue to stay in touch even when your primary contact is no longer with the organisation, on leave or perhaps is experiencing troubles with their email. The team at PetRescue reach out for many reasons, so it’s always safe to have two contacts listed on your group profile to ensure you don’t miss out on member opportunities or important updates.

To add a secondary contact, log into your admin account, then:

  • Proceed to ​log in to your admin account on PetRescue
  • Go to My Group Profile
  • Click 'Edit'
  • Click on the Contact details section.
  • Here you will find the Secondary Contact field. Simply click and a drop down will appear to select an existing account holder as your secondary contact.
  • Once complete, be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Save Changes’.

Please note - the secondary contact must have an active PetRescue account to be selected as a secondary contact. If you wish to assign a secondary contact who doesn’t yet have an account, please check out this article to create their account linked to your group profile.
