Manage your pet listing notifications
Are you receiving one too many email notifications for pet listings you've created and manage? Or perhaps you'd like to receive notifications for listings that may have a different email or recipient listed as the main contact for enquiries?
If you do not wish to receive email updates, a self-serve toggle is available for you to 'turn off' notifications in future for pet listings you’ve created and manage.
How does this work
For group members:
As a Group Member, when creating a new listing, you will automatically be assigned as the 'Listing owner' of that particular pet profile. Being the owner of a listing, both you as well as the individual or email you’ve assigned as the main contact will receive updates (including enquiries) about that pet.
When creating a listing, a preview will appear (as seen below) to guide you on where to go should you wish to disable notification emails.
Rest assured, whomever you select to receive the enquiries under the 'Contact details' section will still receive email notifications even if you turn the toggle off on your personal account settings. This toggle will only affect the notifications you receive for listings you create & manage.
For group admins:
As Group Admins are able to create and manage all pet listings under their rescue organisations’ account, you are both able to view who the assigned 'Listing Owner' is, as well as make adjustments to this.
A preview will appear in this section to highlight the option of opting out of receiving the notification, as shown below.
You will also see a preview in the 'Contact details' section of a pet listing, which will outline who will receive notifications based on the selected main ‘contact details source’, shown in the image below.
Please note, Group Admins can only turn off notifications for pet listings they are 'Listing owner's of, and not for other Group Members.
Turning off the notifications
By following the 'notifications settings' link shared in the preview shown in the images above, you will be taken directly to the notification settings of your account.
To locate this toggle outside of pet listings:
Log in to your PetRescue account, click on the Menu button (with the three bars) in the top left corner of the screen. Once the menu options appear as a dropdown on the screen, scroll down to My Account and click Account Settings.
Once on the Account settings page, scroll down to the "Notification Settings" section. Here you will be able to adjust the on/off toggle on the "Notify me on new messages in conversations" tool, shown below.
