Set up an auto-response for enquiries
Keeping enquirers informed during their search can help reduce noise in your inbox by setting expectations right upfront about your adoption process.
This will help free up time to focus on reviewing applications without additional emails from the potential adopters and buy you some time to respond to those interested in your pets available!
By using the Auto-response functionality, a standard email is automatically sent to all enquirers without needing to respond individually.
It’s easy to set up and customise your auto-response on PetRescue.
- the first step is to draft your email, which might include information such as when to expect a response if other information is required (such as if an enquirer needs to complete an adoption application) or how and when they should expect to hear from you.
- To enable the auto-responder feature, one of the group admins will need to log in and go to My Group Profile, then click 'Edit'.
- Scroll to the bottom and toggle the ‘enable’ button to on under Enquiry auto-responder. Input an auto-response of your choice, and click ‘Update Group’.
- Once you’ve updated your group’s auto-response message, any new enquiry will automatically respond to the auto-response you have enabled. This will provide you enough time to review enquiries as they come through and keep enquirers in the loop! See below for an example of how your response will appear in your conversations.
Note: Your auto-response will only be sent once as the first initial reply to new enquiries.
